Biography

Mayumi Ogawa was a Japanese actress known for her notable roles in Vengeance Is Mine and The Three Undelivered Letters, earning awards for Best Supporting Actress at the 3rd Japan Academy Prize and 4th Hochi Film Award. She also starred in Lady Yoshino in "Hitori okami" (1968) and Kikuyo in "The Demon" (1978). Ogawa ordained as a Shingon Buddhist nun in 2008, before passing away on March 26, 2026, at the age of 86.
