Biography

Harry Earles, a German-born actor and circus performer, arrived in the US around 1915 with his sisters. The siblings worked together in films, as well as for Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus, before focusing on the big top until their retirement in the mid-1950s. Earles' film appearances were mostly brief, including notable roles in "The Wizard of Oz" (1939) and "Freaks" (1932).
