Biography

Yosuke Irie was a renowned Japanese actor born on October 1, 1934, in Tokyo. He began his career with the Tokyo Metropolitan Theater and later joined the stage, becoming a prominent figure in the 1960s and 1970s. Irie collaborated with the Takashimaya Theater Ensemble, a representative group he co-founded with Shigeharu Izumi in 2006, and appeared in notable films such as "浮草" (1959) and "鬼の詩" (1975). He passed away on August 5, 2019, due to stomach cancer.
