Ted Bessell was a talented actor and director, best known for his role as Donald Hollinger in the TV series "That Girl" (1966–1971), opposite Marlo Thomas. He also appeared in notable films such as "Scream, Pretty Peggy" (1973) and "McHale's Navy Joins the Air Force" (1965). A childhood prodigy, Bessell had performed at Carnegie Hall at 12 years old, playing piano recital.
