Don't Drink the Water

Walter Hollander (Jackie Gleason), a caterer, and his family are on vacation when their plane to Athens is hijacked to Vulgaria behind the Iron Curtain. After being mistaken for spies, they take refuge in the American Embassy, where they meet the inept Ambassador Magee's son Axel (Ted Bessell). As they try to figure out a way out, complications arise, including a food poisoning scandal, a possible marriage between Susan and Axel, and a rickety biplane escape plan, which ultimately leads to the Hollanders' departure in a wild adventure.
