Biography

Vlada Petrić, born on March 11, 1928, in Prnjavor, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia, was a director, writer, and academic. He is best known for directing "The Twelve Chairs" (1970), as well as his work on experimental film. A professor at Harvard University and co-founder of the Harvard Film Archive, Petrić received the prestigious award from the Anthology Film Archives in New York City. He passed away on November 13, 2019.
