Biography
Jean-Marc Barr is a French-American actor and director born on September 27, 1960, in Bitburg, Germany, to a French mother and an American father serving in the US Air Force. He studied philosophy and drama at top institutions, including UCLA, Paris Conservatoire, and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. A long-time collaborator with Danish director Lars von Trier, Barr has appeared in numerous films, including "The Big Blue" and Europa, as well as directed his own works, including the trilogy Lovers, Too Much Flesh, and Being Light.
