Andrea Joy Cook, born July 22, 1978, is a Canadian actress best known for her role as Supervisory Special Agent Jennifer "JJ" Jareau on the CBS crime drama Criminal Minds (2005-2020, 2022-present). Cook has also appeared in notable films including The Virgin Suicides and Final Destination 2. She was declared legally blind at age eight due to severe astigmatism but went on to pursue an acting career after competing as a dancer for over a decade.
