Biography

Julieta Szönyi was a celebrated Romanian actress of Hungarian descent, known for her graceful screen presence and memorable roles in Romanian cinema and television. Born in Timișoara, Romania, she studied acting at the I. L. Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest, where she developed her craft. Szönyi rose to fame with roles in *Felix și Otilia* (1972) and *Toate pînzele sus* (1976–77), cementing her status as a cultural icon in Romania.
