Biography

Alice Elizabeth Drummond was a veteran Off-Broadway performer and Tony Award nominee for her performance as Mrs. Lee in The Chinese by Murray Schisgal in 1970. She may be best known for playing the iconic role of Alice, the librarian, in the opening scenes of the 1984 horror-comedy Ghostbusters. Drummond also appeared in notable film roles, including Grandma Dottie in Pieces of April and Postal Clerk in The Love Letter.
