Douglas Dick was a retired American actor and occasional screenwriter, best known for his iconic role as Carlo in the 1948 film Rope. Prior to leaving the entertainment industry in 1971, he appeared in notable films such as The Accused (1949) and Something to Live For (1952). A veteran of both film and military service, Dick also served with the United States Coast Guard and the United States Navy.
