He was nominated for a 1995 Independent Spirit Award for Best Debut Performance for his role in the film New Jersey Drive, alongside notable roles in Get on the Bus, Fallen, and Black Hawk Down. Casseus has also appeared in TV shows like Grey's Anatomy and CSI: Miami, and co-wrote the 2010 film Takers.
