Alexander Engel was a German film actor born in Berlin on June 4, 1902, who chose the stage name "Alexander" to avoid confusion with musician Kurt Engel. With over 70 film appearances between 1932 and 1968, he left an indelible mark on the silver screen. Notable roles include Patient in "The Strange Countess" (1961) and Mr. Smith in "The Final Chord" (1936).
