Paul Joseph Morrissey was an American film director, screenwriter, and producer who directed influential films such as Flesh (1968), Trash (1970), and Heat (1972) that blended improvisation, social realism, and dark humor. His association with Andy Warhol and the Factory scene helped launch careers of superstars like Joe Dallesandro and Holly Woodlawn. Morrissey's work expanded into cult classics like Flesh for Frankenstein (1973) and Blood for Dracula (1974).
