In 1982, Wim Wenders invited a constellation of visionary directors to ponder the very future of cinema itself in a provocative experiment. As they sat in Hotel Martinez's infamous Room 666, each filmmaker was given just minutes to respond to the question: "Is cinema a language about to get lost, an art about to die?" The resulting footage, later edited by Wenders, provides a haunting snapshot of artistic unease and creative trepidation on the eve of a new era in filmmaking.
