Willy Holt

Biography

Willy Holt was a French-American production designer, art director, and actor born in Quincy, Florida, to an American military photographer father and a French mother. He survived the Auschwitz death march as part of the French Resistance before beginning his career in television and cinema. Holt won a César Award for Best Production Design for Au revoir les enfants and was nominated for an Academy Award for Is Paris Burning?.
