Branford Marsalis is a renowned American saxophonist and composer born on August 26, 1960, in New Orleans. He is known for his work as the leader of the Branford Marsalis Quartet, as well as leading the group Buckshot LeFonque, with which he gained critical acclaim. A three-time Grammy winner, Marsalis has also led The Tonight Show Band and pursued classical music projects, including a tour with Marsalis Brasilianos.
