Biography

Motoko Arai is a Japanese science fiction and fantasy writer, born August 8, 1960, in Tokyo. At 16, her short story "Inside Myself" earned an honorable mention from Shinichi Hoshi, a prominent science fiction writer, and was later published in paperback. Arai's works, including the novel "Hoshi e Iku Fune" and short story series "Green Requiem" and "Neptune", have received notable awards, including two Seiun Awards.
