Boyd Banks is a Canadian stand-up comedian and actor born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, at 17 he won a contest for Best Stand-Up Comedian in Edmonton, Alberta, setting him on his path to performing comedy in Vancouver before moving to Toronto to act. He made his mark in the industry with early roles in cult favorite The Kids in the Hall, followed by notable performances in films like Wild Iris and Land of the Dead.
