Fritiof Nilsson Piraten was a Swedish author and lawyer born in Vollsjö, Skåne, on December 4, 1895. He left a successful law practice in 1932 to write, publishing his debut novel "Bombi Bitt och jag" in the same year. Piraten went on to write several more books, including the popular "Bombi Bitt" series, which was adapted into films and TV series, cementing his place in Swedish literary history.
