Joan Staley

Biography

Born Joan McConchie on May 20, 1940 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Joan Staley began performing at three with violin lessons and soon joined a baby orchestra in Los Angeles. She made her film debut as a child violinist in The Emperor Waltz (1948) and later became a stunning beauty, signing backup records for Sam Phillips and appearing in local stage productions. Her modeling career led to an MGM contract and iconic cheesecake bits in films like Ocean's Eleven and Breakfast at Tiffany's.
