Biography

Eric Pohlmann was an Austrian theatre and film actor born Erich Pollak in Vienna in 1913. He began his career at the Raimund Theater before emigrating to London with his wife Lieselotte Goettinger in 1939, where he appeared in over 200 productions. Pohlmann is perhaps best known for voicing Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the James Bond films From Russia with Love and Thunderball, as well as iconic roles in Carry on Spying and The Return of the Pink Panther.
