Biography

Patachou was a French singer and actress who popularized Georges Brassens songs before he became famous. She took over her husband's cabaret-restaurant in Montmartre, Patachou, where she sang alongside Brassens on duets like "Maman, papa" and introduced his compositions to audiences. Her unique blend of style and charm earned her recognition, including a promotion to Officier of the Légion d'honneur in 2009. She passed away at 96 in 2015.
