Nicola Kawana

Biography

Nicola Kāwana is a New Zealand actress born in Taranaki, who gained recognition for her long-running role as Huia Samuels on Shortland Street and her appearances in Mercy Peak and Jackson's Wharf. She also wrote and premiered the play Kūpapa, which explores her ancestral heritage and its connection to significant historical events in Aotearoa New Zealand.
