Biography

Born Lucas Macfadden in Hollywood, CA, Cut Chemist has been recording and performing for nearly 30 years, starting as a turntablist at age 11. As a founding member of Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli, he developed a taste for music from around the world while maintaining his hip hop roots. His solo albums, including "The Audience Is Listening" (2006) and "Die Cut" (2018), showcase his boundary-pushing production style and innovative use of obscure musical finds.
