Lena Katina, born Elena Sergeyevna Katina on October 4, 1984, is a Russian singer-songwriter who rose to fame as half of the pop/electronica duo t.A.T.u. She began her music career at eight, joining Russian children's acts Avenue and Neposedy, before being chosen by producer Ivan Shapovalov for t.A.T.u. in 1999. Katina embarked on a solo career in 2009, and her 2011 single "Never Forget" became a worldwide hit, earning her numerous awards.
