Biography

Kōjirō Kusanagi was a Japanese actor who began his career at Yoshi Hijikatas theatre Company after dropping out of Nihon University. He made his film debut in 1953 and went on to appear in over 40 films, including "Darkness at Noon" (1956) and "Taiyō o Nusunda Otoko" (1979), based on the true story of an innocent man's execution for a crime he didn't commit. Kusanagi passed away on November 11, 2007, aged 78, due to pneumonia.
