Hana Makhmalbaf

Biography

Hana Makhmalbaf is a young Iranian filmmaker born on December 3rd, 1988 in Tehran. At age 7, she began acting in her father Mohsen's film "A moment of Innocence", and by age 9 had already gained international attention for her short film "The Day My Aunt Was ill" at Locarno Film Festival. She later made a feature film, "Buddha Collapsed Out Of Shame", which received numerous prestigious awards and nominations, showcasing her talent from an early age.
