Jiří Lír was a Czech film and television actor known for his distinctive comedic talent. A notable figure in Czech cinema, he appeared in over 180 films, often playing supporting roles. Alongside his brothers Lubomír and Oldřich Lipský, Lír co-founded the Divadlo satiry, a theater that launched the careers of many notable comedians. He was also a regular collaborator with director Miloš Kopecký.
