Han Sanming

Biography

Han Sanming is a Chinese actor and coal miner born in 1971 in Shanxi province. He gained recognition for his lead role as a coal miner searching for his wife and daughter in Jia Zhangke's Still Life, which premiered at the 2006 Venice Film Festival and won the Golden Lion award. A cousin of director Jia Zhangke, Han has also appeared in films directed by him, including Jia Zhangke, A Guy from Fenyang (2014) and Platform (2000).
