Stanley Fields was a versatile actor who began his career on Broadway, performing in notable productions like "Fifty Miles from Boston" and "The Red Widow". He transitioned to vaudeville with Frank Fay for eight years before debuting in films alongside Norma Talmadge's talkie "New York Nights". A long-term contract with Paramount Pictures followed in 1930, leading to memorable roles in classics like "Little Caesar", "Cimarron", and "Way Out West".
