Cimarron

"Cimarron" is a sweeping epic Western drama that follows Yancey Cravat (Richard Dix), a restless frontiersman who claims a plot of free land in Oklahoma and becomes a leading citizen of the boom town of Osage. As he chases new opportunities, his wife Sabra (Irene Dunne) takes on increasing responsibility to care for their family, ultimately becoming a prominent figure in her own right. The film spans forty years, from 1889 to 1929, and explores themes of family history, the American frontier, and the clash between settlers and Native Americans.
