Bobby Barber
Biography
Bobby Barber was a prolific American actor who appeared in over 100 films, often playing bit parts as delivery boys, waiters, or men on the street. He was notably used by Abbott and Costello as a "court jester" to keep energy levels up with pranks and practical jokes on set. In outtakes from their films, Barber frequently broke character, such as in Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948), where he startled Bela Lugosi with an unscripted cameo. Barber's final film appearance was in Lou Costello's last movie, The 30 Foot Bride of Candy Rock (1959).
