Biography

Norman Mitchell was a versatile English actor who made his mark on stage and screen. Born in Sheffield, West Riding of Yorkshire, he drew from a rich cultural heritage, with his father a mining engineer and mother a concert singer. He left a lasting legacy in repertory theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and over sixty films, including his notable role as Police Sergeant in "Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell" (1974).
