Polly Shannon is a Canadian actress born on September 1, 1973, in Kingston, Ontario, and raised in Aylmer, Quebec. She is best known for her portrayal of Margaret Trudeau in the 2002 miniseries Trudeau, which tells the story of Canada's late Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. Shannon began her television career at age 13, landing roles in various series including Catwalk and The Hunger.
