Alex Cox

Biography

Alexander Cox is a British film director, screenwriter, actor, and nonfiction author known for his idiosyncratic style and approach to scripts. He experienced early success with Repo Man (1984) and Sid and Nancy (1986), but has since focused on independent films with steadily declining budgets. Cox also teaches screenwriting and film production at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and writes educational books on film and television.
