Biography

Julian Somers was a prolific English stage and screen actor, known for notable roles in "Far from the Madding Crowd" (1967), "Another Time, Another Place" (1958), and "The One That Got Away" (1957). A veteran of rep theatre by 1934, he also appeared in West End productions and early film roles, including "The Peterville Diamond" (1942) and "Caravan" (1946). He married Betty Margaret Newcombe in 1950 and passed away in London in 1976 at the age of 72.
