Biography

Sam Hardy was a talented American actor who appeared in over 85 films between 1915 and 1935, often in comedic roles. He gained recognition for his memorable performances, including Charles Weston in the 1933 classic King Kong. Prior to film, Hardy worked on stage, studying at Yale before abandoning it to pursue an acting career. His promising life was cut short when he died of intestinal problems while filming Shoot the Chutes.
