Lou Castel is a Swedish actor born on May 28, 1943, to a Swedish father and an Irish mother in Bogotá, Colombia. He had a breakthrough role in Marco Bellocchio's Fists in the Pocket (1965) before gaining notoriety for his roles in spaghetti westerns like Carlo Lizzani's Requiescant (1967) and Damiano Damiani's A Bullet for the General (1967). Castel later had a long career as a character actor in European cinema, despite being disrupted by far-left activism.
