The Eyes, the Mouth

The Eyes, the Mouth is a 1982 Italian-French drama film about a rich Italian's shocking suicide and its impact on his twin brother, mother, and pregnant lover Wanda, played by Ángela Molina. After Giovanni, an actor past his prime, returns to his provincial hometown in Emilia-Romagna following his brother's death, he starts an affair with Wanda despite her lack of grief. The family's attempts to convince their mother that the death was not self-inflicted but accidental only serve to deepen the mystery surrounding Pippo's demise.
