Jay Adler

Biography

Jay Adler was a prominent figure in the Jewish-American acting dynasty of New York City's Yiddish Theater District. Born to actors Jacob and Sara Adler in 1896, he followed in his family's footsteps with a long acting career spanning film, television, and theater from 1938 until his death in 1978. Notable appearances include "The Big Combo," "The Killing," and "The Family Jewels."
