Murder Is My Beat

In "Murder Is My Beat," Barbara Payton plays Eden Lane, a nightclub singer wrongly convicted of murdering her boyfriend, Frank Deane, who is found dead with his face burned beyond recognition. Detective Ray Patrick (Paul Langton) believes Eden's innocence and joins forces with her to find the real killer, whom she spots outside their train. As they try to solve the mystery within a week, Detectives Bert Rawley (Robert Shayne) and others pursue them, putting Patrick in legal jeopardy as well.
