Biography

Inez Courtney was an American actress who began her career on the Broadway stage and in films. Born in New York City in 1908, she performed specialty dances, including one that earned her the nicknames St Vitis, Mosquito, and Lightning. Courtney transitioned to film in the early 1930s, appearing in 58 movies between 1930 and 1940, including The Raven and The Shop Around the Corner. She died in 1975 at 67.
