Zouzou, born Danièle Ciarlet on November 29, 1943, was a French actress and model known for her lead role as Chloé in Éric Rohmer's Love in the Afternoon (1972). A prominent figure of the 1960s counterculture, Zouzou embodied the liberated spirit of young women during May 68. Her career was marked by struggles with addiction, which led to a seven-year hiatus from France before her return in 1985.
