Biography

Patrick Dewaere was a French film actor born in Saint-Brieuc, Côtes-d'Armor, to actress Mado Maurin. He began acting at 14 and went on to become one of France's most popular actors in the late 1960s and 1970s, starring in films like "Going Places" and being nominated for five César Awards for Best Actor. Despite his talent, Dewaere struggled with depression and personal demons before taking his own life at 35 in 1982.
