Matthias Brandt

Biography

Matthias Brandt is a German actor born on October 7, 1961, in West Berlin. He is the youngest of three sons to former German Chancellor Willy Brandt and his wife Rut, with whom he shares an older half-sister from his father's first marriage. In recent years, Brandt has gained recognition for his work in films like "Afire" (2023), as well as his writing endeavors, including the publication of "Blackbird" (2019) and upcoming book "Nein sagen" (2026).
