James Naughton is a Tony Award-winning actor and director born on December 6, 1945, in Middletown, Connecticut. He rose to fame with his portrayal of astronaut Pete Burke in the 1974 television series Planet of the Apes and won two Tony Awards for his performances in City of Angels and the long-running revival of Chicago as lawyer Billy Flynn. A graduate of Brown University and Yale School of Drama, Naughton has established a distinguished career in legitimate theater and film.
