Karl Markovics is an Austrian actor born on August 29, 1963. He gained international recognition for his role as Salomon Sorowitsch in Stefan Ruzowitzky's Academy Award-winning film The Counterfeiters (2007). Markovics has also appeared in notable roles such as far-right terrorist Franz Fuchs in the TV movie Franz Fuchs - Ein Patriot and Christian Lossa in the series Fog in August. He continues to work extensively in stage productions.
