Biography
Per Oscarsson was a Swedish actor born on January 28, 1927, in Stockholm, to an engineer father and German mother who died of cancer in 1933. He won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor for his role as Pontus in the 1966 film Hunger, based on Knut Hamsun's novel. Oscarsson also appeared in notable films like "The Girl Who Played with Fire" and "House of Angels."
