Barbara Kyagulanyi

Biography

Barbara Kyagulanyi is a Ugandan philanthropist and author, born in 1984. She founded Caring Hearts Uganda, an NGO focused on Girl child leadership empowerment, HIV/AIDS, and education, and has donated infrastructure to schools for internally displaced children. In 2018, she entered active politics to support her husband, Ugandan pop artist and politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, and later ran on a manifesto emphasizing women's welfare and youth empowerment.
